The project involves modifying an existing waterline and replacing a hydrant, replacing the roof, abating lead-based paint, removing lead-painted siding, installing new siding, and preparing/painting exterior surfaces at the New Meadows Range Barn, located at the New Meadows Barracks administrative site, 100 S Norris Ave., New Meadows, ID 83654. Base roof work includes removing existing roofing, installing plywood sheathing over skip sheathing, adding ice/water shield over the entire roof, and installing new corrugated metal roofing. Base abatement/siding work includes abating and painting rafter tails, soffit, and fascia; removing lead-painted siding and felt paper; installing plywood sheathing, building wrap, new in-kind siding and trim around windows, doors, and corners; and painting those surfaces. Base waterline work includes replacing about 10 feet of 1-inch SIDR 9 HDPE waterline, moving the hydrant 2 feet east along the building side, installing a new hydrant and drainage basin, and replacing a galvanized barb fitting with a brass barb fitting. Optional work includes removing the existing wood deck and foundation piers and fabricating/installing new expanded metal decking with steps over a metal frame with new foundation piers, with quantities identified in the Schedule of Items.
