The project will reduce deferred maintenance at the Niwot Picnic Trailhead near Ward, Colorado, in the BLRA by improving accessibility and addressing aging infrastructure. Work includes demolishing and removing timber parking barriers and retaining walls, constructing timber steps and rock retaining walls, and creating accessible compacted aggregate trails. The scope also includes renovating existing historic picnic sites, constructing new picnic sites, and revegetating all disturbed areas.
