The US Forest Service, Sawtooth National Forests, is seeking proposals for the Harrington Fork Bridge Replacement project located in Cassia County, Idaho. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Administrative work is estimated to begin in June 2023, Ground site work is estimated to begin in September 2023, ending in November 2023. Actual bridge installation will take place in Spring/Summer of 2024 when weather allows. There is a site visit scheduled for June 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM (local time) at the project location listed within Section C.2. This project is set aside for small business (NAICS: 237310; Size Standard: $45.0M) REVISION 2 - 05/19/2023 - J.2 Statement of Work has been revised and attachment has been updated REVISION 2 - 05/19/2023 - J.3 Forest Serice Supplemental Specifications have been revised and attachment has been updated. Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Harrington Fork Bridge Replacement Project located on the Sawtooth National Forest in Cassia County, Idaho. Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Harrington Fork Bridge Replacement Project located on the Sawtooth National Forest in Cassia County, Idaho. Work shall consist of but is not limited to 1) removing/disposing of existing bridge material, asphalt material, and other debris that still exists onsite; 2) installing a new approximately 16’ wide by 40’ long prefabricated steel bridge superstructure set on new treated timber abutments including construction of new abutment riprap armoring material and placement of new asphalt wear surface; 3) removing the existing asphalt road approaches and installing new; and 4) performing other miscellaneous improvements as required. The contractor shall provide any and all equipment, labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment including safety and other incidentals necessary to perform all work for the Harrington Fork Bridge Replacement Project. This solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or after May 19, 2023. Administrative/Preparation work is estimated to begin July, 2023 and on-ground work is estimated to start September or October. Work is estimated to continue through July of 2024 as the winter season will hamper construction and allow for lead time for the prefabricated bridge construction. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $250,000 and $1,000,000.
