The San Juan National Forest, Pagosa Ranger District requires the furnish and install of one single-vault restroom and an optional furnish aggregate and resurface the existing parking area. The project is located at the Opal Lake Trailhead. The contractor shall cross the Rio Blanco bridge which has a maximum load capacity of 36 tons to reach the site. The contractor shall move personnel, equipment, material, and incidentals to the project site before the beginning of work. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor to install a contractor supplied vault toilet. The building will be a left hand single CXT Cascadian model or approved equivalent with a footprint of approximately 8’6” by 15’-2 ¾”, stand 11’-6” high, and contain 1 toilet. The building will be installed at the location flagged by the COR. Aggregate shall be compacted using Compaction method (a)(1) (roller compaction) SPS 204.11. The aggregate needs to be placed at a compacted depth of 4 inches in the area specified by the COR. Traffic control plans must follow FP-14 guidelines. The crushed aggregate shall be 1”- road base compacted to 4” depth following standard laid out in FP-14.
