Presolicitation Notice GAOA Spotted Bear & Meadow Creek Road Resurfacing Flathead National Forest DESCRIPTION OF WORK The intent of the contract is to manufacture surface course aggregate in the existing Peters Creek Quarry (Government Source) and place 4” of compacted surfacing on Forest Road 2826 from milepost 0.00 to 14.9. Optional Bid Item 1 is to manufacture and place 4” of compacted surface course aggregate on Forest Road 568. Optional Bid Item 2 is to cunduct Full Depth Reclamaintion on Forest Road 568. Optional Bid Item 3 is to manufacture and place 2” of surface course aggregate on Forest Road 568. Manufacturing of aggregate in the Peters Creek Quarry will include development of the existing quarry including clearing and grubbing, blasting, crushing aggregate, and stockpiling aggregate. Prior to placing surfacing or Full Depth Reclaimation the road is to be reconditioned The work includes but is not limited to, roadway reconditioning, compacting, hauling and placing crushed aggregate surfacing, dust abating portions of double lane haul roads (12.79 miles),and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. The precise details of performing work are not stipulated except as considered essential for the completion of the work. Furnish all labor, material (but for government furnished), equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work according to the contract. PROJECT LOCATION This project is located on the Flathead National Forest on National Forest System Roads (NFSR) No. 2826 & 568 from Mile Posts 0.00 to 14.9 & 0.00 to 9.95 on the Spotted Bear Ranger District, Flathead County, Montana. The project elevation is approximately 3,700 feet Contract Time: The work anticipated under any contract resulting from this solicitation estimated start date July 15, 2022 and be completed by October 13, 2023. The magnitude of proposed project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Project drawings will be provided as attachments to the Request for Proposal (RFP). The complete solicitation package will be attached and made available only through SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/content/home on or within 15 days of this notice. Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from SAM.gov. Copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office. All amendments will be posted on SAM.gov. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from this site to update files. This requirement is being solicited as a Small Business set-aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1405, with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract. A single award will be made from the solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http:www.sam/gov/ before award of contract; failure to register in the SAM database may cause your firm to be ineligible for the award and removed from consideration.
