SOLICITATION NOTICE - Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Mariposa Area Road Resurfacing project. The intent of this project is to conduct reconditioning efforts and add aggregate surfacing to 8.68 miles of existing aggregate. Surface roads in the Mariposa area of the Pagosa Ranger District. All roads will remain open to public traffic during this contract. Traffic Control will be required at all times. All Forest Service haul roads shall be maintained concurrently in coordination with the COR and dust abatement may be required for haul road safety. The solicitation and associated attachments are being posted with this notice. Project Location: From the Pagosa Ranger District Office, travel east on US Highway 160 for 0.5 miles. Turn right onto US-84e for 0.3 miles, turn left on Mill Creek Road. Continue for 6.7 miles then keep right on to NFSR 665. Follow 665 for 2 miles to the intersection of NFSR 029 where the project begins. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting a proposal and to be considered for award.
