This is a PRE-SOLICITATION Announcement. The USDA Forest Service is seeking construction services to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to make improvements to Burgess Road (NFSR #15. The work includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, road reconditioning, improving site distance by flattening several cut slopes near curves, crushing aggregate at Burgess pit, hauling and placing aggregate surface course, placement of dust palliative, installation of posts and signs including delineators to improve safety and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with plans and specifications. The project is located west of Dayton, Wyoming off the US Highway 14A near the junction with US Highway 14. Work starts near the junction of US14A and US14 (N 44.769603° and W 107.522382°) continues the entire length of NFSR #15, 26.05 miles, to the junction with US14 (N 44.780468° W 107.796813°). The project is located on the Tongue Ranger District and Medicine Wheel Ranger District in the Bighorn National Forest. The project begins in Section 1, Township 55N, Range 89 W. This procurement is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310. The Small Business Administration size standard is $39.5 million. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov in order to be considered for award. Registering in the SAM system is FREE. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis, the pending solicitation or any follow up information requests. The solicitation will be posted to the SAM.gov website at https://www.sam.gov on or about December 30, 2021.
