Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Nebraska Dam project. This project consists of reconditioning 1.88 miles of fifteen (15) foot wide roadway in preparation for geotextile underlayment, furnishing, hauling, and placing approximately 3,441 cubic yards of specified aggregate subbase and base course as shown on the drawings and staked on the ground. Blade the placed aggregate to provide a smooth-running surface with a centerline crown. Reference (FP-14) Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges as shown in the specifications and drawings that will be provided once the solicitation is issued. This solicitation is anticipated to be issued ***. The project is located within the Nebraska National Forest Pine Ridge Ranger District. From Crawford, NE, travel North on Highway 71 for approx. 7.87 miles, then turn east onto FSR #913 Rock Bass Road. Project #1 begins at cattleguard. Continue North on Hwy 71, 9.13 miles to intersection with FSR #900 turn left onto Sugar Loaf Road and continue 1.75 miles to FSR #910 Boardgate Road beginning of project #2. North on Hwy 71, 4.5 miles to FSR #922 Agate Reservior. Project #3 begins at cattleguard and ends at reservoir. All projects are as staked on the ground. The work anticipated under any contract resulting from the solicitation will begin no later than March of 2022 through June of 2022. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting a proposal and to be considered for award.
