AMENDMENT #1 EXTEND PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE TO JULY 31, 2023 SCOPE OF CONTRACT The work shall consist of what is shown on the plans, stated in the specifications, and summarized below: Remove trees and clear and grub as required. Excavate for foundation construction. Construct the abutments and wingwalls. Backfill the abutments to just below the beam seat elevation. Grade portions of the channel banks under the new bridge. Install riprap adjacent to the new structure. Erect the steel girders. Construct the bridge. Construct the remaining backfill and the approach embankments. Install the approach rails. Perform all work to required to construct aggregate surface. Open the new bridge to traffic. Prepare the finished grading and apply seeding PROJECT LOCATON Chama Basin Trail Bridge: The trail bridge will be located on a Forest Service Trail (FST) 738, which accesses the Rio Grande National Forest. The Chama Basin Trail Bridge No. 738-0.1 located on the Conejos Ranger District of the Rio Grande National Forest, Latitude 37.03497326, Longitude -106.5533922. Directions: From Chama, NM travel north on Highway 17 to the Chama River Road (FSR 121), turn left onto FSR 121, travel about 6 miles north to the Rio Grande NF boundary. Take the left fork about one mile to the new bridge location.
