Proposals are due 9/2/2022 Work for this project consists of reconditioning a designated 2.0 miles of Little Wolf East Road #723 per Base Item (with Optional Items for additional reconditioning on same road) to a fourteen (14) foot wide roadway, in preparation for furnishing, hauling, and placing approximately 1,680 cubic yards of specified aggregate base course as Shown on the Drawings. Blade the placed aggregate to provide a smooth-running surface with a centerline crown. Reference (FP-14) Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges as shown in the Specifications and Drawings. Work to be completed shall be as shown in the Schedule of Items and described as follows: Base Item: -Recondition a designated 2.0 miles of roadway to provide for a fourteen (14) foot wide running surface. Compaction Method A. Design quantity payment. -Deliver and place 2.0 miles of specified base course to a twelve (12) foot wide running surface, 4” inch compacted depth and 1’ foot taper each side. This equates to approximately 1,680 cubic yards compacted in place. Compaction Method A. Design quantity payment. Option Item 1: -Recondition an additional designated 1.0 mile of roadway to provide for a fourteen (14) foot wide running surface. Compaction Method A. Lump sum quantity payment. -Deliver and place additional cubic yards of specified base course to a twelve (12) foot wide running surface, 4” inch compacted depth and 1’ foot taper each side. This equates to approximately 840 cubic yards compacted in place per mile. Compaction Method A. -Design quantity payment. Option Item 2: -Recondition an additional designated 0.5 mile of roadway to provide for a fourteen (14) foot wide running surface. Compaction Method A. -Lump sum quantity payment. -Deliver and place additional cubic yards of specified base course to a twelve (12) foot wide running surface, 4” inch compacted depth and 1’ foot taper each side. This equates to approximately 420 cubic yards compacted in place per mile. Compaction Method A. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. Contractors are encouraged to tour the location on their own.
