SCOPE OF CONTRACT This project includes all labor and materials necessary for the reroofing and repainting the existing Fillmore Ranger District office owned by the Fishlake National Forest. BASE BID ITEM: Work is described in the following specifications and drawings and includes but is not limited to: Removal and disposal of the existing wood shake roofing, underlayment, roof accessories and flashings. Provide and install full roof ice and water shield underlayment, pipe and equipment flashing, metal drip edge and fascia, standing seam metal roofing, gutters and downspouts, splash blocks. Repaint wood support beams and soffits. OPTIONAL BID ITEM 1: The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing wood siding. Install weather barrier, sheet metal flashing, painted fibercement panel siding, batten and end trim boards as shown in the drawings and noted in the specifications. Prepare and repaint the existing window trim. Caulk all joints. The contract shall be required to unmount and remount lights, surface mounted conduit, the radio tower and piping to install the siding. All electrical work shall be done in compliance with the 2021 NEC and other applicable codes and by a licensed electrician. OPTIONAL BID ITEM 2: Remove existing exterior doors, hardware and frames. Provide and install new insulated partial glass, hollow metal doors, hardware and frames. OPTIONAL BID ITEM 3: Protect existing landscape and areas and clean slump block wainscotting as directed in specification 049030, Masonry Cleaning. This project is to be constructed while the building is occupied by the user. Coordination and phasing of work is required. Staging and storage of materials are to be coordinated with the user prior to the start of the project. Damages to any portion of the building while this project is completed are to be repaired with matching finishes.
