SCOPE OF CONTRACT This project includes removal of unneccassary equipment and materials, retrofitting new well equipment to existing system at Spring Mountain National Recreation Area, Las Vegas, Nevada. The work includes removing and disposing of old well equipment (pump, motor, pipe, wiring, etc.), retrofitting new well equipment to existing system, connecting to power and control switch, testing proper operation of well house and pipeline to heliwell. Remove and dispose of existing old well equipment that is not compatible with retrofit. Install following equipment – 6” 220-250 gpm 13 stage Submersible Pump End; 6” 40 hp 460-480V 3PH Submersible Motor; 3” Galvanized Drop Pipe (462 LF); 3” Check Valves (4 EACH); #4 Wire, 3 Conductor w/ Ground Sub Cable (500 LF); Splice Kit #4; Variable Frequency Drive 460V 40 HP minimum rated, NEMA 3R or IP66(Sine wave filtering shall be provided interior to the VFD or as a separate item fully rated for VFD output.); Surge Protection Device: SCCR 20kA minimum,-480Y/277V, not to exceed 1200v for line to neutral and line to ground, and 2000V line to line. Ea; Pressure Transducer 0-145psi 4-20 mA¼ NPT; Pipe Wrap Tape; Miscellaneous Small Parts. Test proper flow through piping to Heliwell. Provide well report that describes the system in detail. The report shall also document that the system pumps water to the Heliwell location. Trouble-shoot any minor issues with Heliwell system. Train Forest Service staff on maintenance, operation and winterization of Heli-Well system PROJECT LOCATION The project is located in the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Clark County, Nevada, in Section 21, T19S, R57E. It is located approximately 20 miles north-west of Las Vegas, Nevada. The project may be accessed from State Highway 157. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Between $25,000 and $100,000.
