This announcement constitutes a Pre-Solicitation Notice/Synopsis in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. The Government intends to issue a formal solicitation via a Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with FAR 15, following this announcement, on or about 15 days from the publication of this announcement. The solicitation and if applicable, any amendments, shall be posted on SAM.gov. Responses will be due 30 days after the solicitation is posted, unless extended through an amendment. There will be a site visit on 19 July tentatively scheduled for 10 am Mountain Time; interested parties are encouraged to contact the contract specialist to confirm attendance. Interested offerors must be active in SAM.gov at the date and time proposals are due to be eligible for award. Proposals submitted by contractors without an active record in SAM.gov will not be considered. The U.S. Forest Service plans to solicit offers for a single award, Firm-Fixed Price contract type with an estimated magnitude for the base and options between $250,000 and $500,000. The Government anticipates awarding a sole contract for the construction and installation of five separate research Weirs at the Fraser Experimental Forest. This project involves the use of heavy equipment operators, general laborers, carpenters, and masons. It is located at Fraser Experimental Forest 4.4 miles Southwest of the Town of Fraser, Colorado on County Road 73. This action is antciapted to be soliciated as a total small businesses set aside. Scope of Work: Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, and labor to provide various repairs on five separate research Weirs at the Fraser Experimental Forest.
