SCOPE OF CONTRACT The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to: A) fully develop and expand quarries to the permitted limits, and B) produce and stockpile crushed gravel in the locations, quantities, quality, and gradations specified. Items considered incidental to the pay items listed in the Schedule of Items include but are not limited to the following: pit development, clearing and grubbing, topsoil removal, removal of debris and logging slash at filler material locations, and mobilization. The work shall be performed in two existing quarries located on Forest Service land. Crushing activities shall be coordinated with the Forest Service and other users of the pit area. The Contractor shall maintain access roads to the pit and filler source locations. The Contractor is responsible for loading, transporting, and blending of filler material if needed. The Contractor is responsible for reclaiming/re-sloping all ground surface disturbed by their operations. PROJECT LOCATON Limestone B Pit is located in Section 3, T4N, R1E, Lawrence County SD. Custer Peak Pit is located in Section 1, T3N, R3E Lawrence County SD. Stockpiles shall be located as directed by the Contracting Officers Representative (COR). The area to be utilized for the execution of this contract will be flagged or staked by the Forest Service. Operations shall be conducted within this area unless written authorization is received from the COR to extend the boundaries. Field locations for crusher, stockpiles, disposal pits, and clearing limits shall be approved by the COR prior to the start of operations. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT The estimated price range of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
