Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Walker Springs Road Reconditioning contract. Work consists of to providing surface and drainage maintenance on native surface high clearance forest service roads. This project includes approximately 4 miles of maintenance, 1.7 miles on 556.h and 2.3 miles on 556.n. Work will include the maintenance, reconstruction, and or construction of drainage features to include ditches, waterbars, draindips and culvert inlets and outlets. This work is further defined in the FP-14 under 303 road reconditioning. Project Location: From the Dolores Ranger District office, travel east on State highway 184 for 2.9 miles. Turn left onto Haycamp Mesa Road, at milepost 5.7 you will cross the Forest Service boundary. The road becomes NFSR 565, continue for 13 miles. To the intersection of 565.h the project beginning location. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is Between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting a proposal and to be considered for award.
