This announcement constitutes a Pre-Solicitation Notice/Synopsis in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. The Government intends to issue a formal solicitation via a Request for Quote (RFP) in accordance with FAR 15, following this announcement, on or about 15 days from the publication of this announcement. The solicitation and if applicable, any amendments, shall be posted on SAM.gov. Responses will be due 30 days after the solicitation is posted, unless extended through an amendment. There may be a question and answer period/pre-proposal conference before proposals are due. Interested offerors must be active in SAM.gov at the date and time proposals are due to be eligible for award. Proposals submitted by contractors without an active record in SAM.gov will not be considered. The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting offers for a single award, Firm-Fixed Price contract type with an estimated magnitude for the base and options between $250,000 and $500,000. The Government anticipates awarding a sole contract for the Sinks Canyon Camp Ground Asphalt Resurfacing project on the Shoshone National Forest. Additional awards, at Forest Service discretion, may be considered depending on Forest Service need and results for proposal evaluations. Scope of Work: Work will consist of saw cutting repair areas in existing asphalt, removing areas of existing asphalt, paving asphalt repair areas in the base course, paving tie in areas, and then paving an approximately 2” thick asphalt overlay over the existing asphalt and repaired base areas at the Sinks Canyon Campground Loop near Lander, WY on the Shoshone National Forest. Work will include paving campground pull outs, paving approaches and radii, and other misc. asphalt paving details. Work will also include a concrete double gutter. Reference provided plan set for additional details. Milling of existing designated area may be considered in place of saw cutting and patching. Milled pavement will require shaping, watering and compacting according to applicable specifications. This opportunity is set aside for total small businesses. Project Location: This project is located on the Washakie Ranger District near Lander, WY. The work will be located on the Sinks Canyon Campground on the Washakie Ranger District approximately 9 miles from the town of Lander, WY. The work area is accessible from Lander, WY via HWY 131.
