Amendment 0002 provides quote submission instructions to offerors. Update 08/26/2021: The purpose of this update is to incorporate Amendment 0001 into the RFQ. This announcement constitutes a Solicitation for construction, in accordance with FAR Subpart 13; no previous synopsis was posted subject to 13.105(a) with reference to the exception found at FAR 5.202(13). Interested offerors must be active in SAM.gov at the date and time quotes are due to be eligible for award. Quotes submitted by contractors without an active record in SAM.gov will not be considered. Any questions about this opportunity must be submitted by August 19, 2021. The U.S. Forest Service plans to solicit quotes for a single award, Firm-Fixed Price contract type with an estimated magnitude for the base and options between $25,000 and $100,000. The Government anticipates awarding a sole contract for LED Light Replacement. Prospective offerors are required to submit quotes in accordance with the forthcoming solicitation. Scope of Work: This project is located at the Black Hills National Forest, Northern Hills Ranger District Office located at 2014 North Main Street, Spearfish, South Dakota 57783 Work for this project requires the Contractor to be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, miscellaneous items, freight and delivery and all necessary valid licenses and permits for the work summarized as follows: Remove existing fluorescent light fixtures in areas designated within the Northern Hills Ranger District Office and replace with new LED light fixtures. Provide and install dimmer switches for designated fixtures at locations identified. Perform all necessary electrical connections to make light fixtures operable in accordance with NEC code and fire and safety requirements. The Scope of Work shall also include testing to ensure proper operation of fixtures, switches and controls. Location(s): The Northern Hills Ranger District Office is located at 2014 N. Main Street, Spearfish, SD 57783. The facility accommodates administrative and visitor service functions on approximately 1.8 acres. The building was constructed in 1989 as a leased facility for the Forest Service and purchased by the Forest Service in 2010. In 2016, an addition was added to the building and the interior was remodeled. The office is 14,509 square feet.
