DESCRIPTION: Greendale Water Treatment Plan Upgrades CIP ANF FLAMING GORGE NRA WATER TREATMENT PLANTS This project includes rehabilitating and upgrading an existing water treatment plant. Currently, primary power is not available to Shell Falls Wayside due to several faults in the underground primary power line The existing plant treats groundwater under the direct influence of surface water (GUDI) from spring sources using a coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration and disinfection process. The existing water treatment housing (compartments where the treatment process occurs) will remain. The work includes removing the majority of the existing components and installing a new automatic control system, sensors, piping, fittings, valves, gauges, backflow preventers, chlorinators, pumps and other appurtenances. Quantities associated with these options are identified in the Schedule of Items. IAW: Attached Statement of Work and Related Documents LOCATION: The project is located in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area of the Ashley National Forest, Daggett County, Utah. GPD coordinates are approximately 40.860897 N, 109.467330 W. It is located approximately 34 miles North of Vernal, Utah by road. The project may be accessed from US Highway 191. The utility building containing the water treatment system can be accessed via a gravel road approximately 0.8 miles East from the junction of Utah Highway 44 and US Highway 191.
