Combined Synopsis and Solicitation: The U.S. Forest Service herby provides the following Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for: Supply and delivery of Snowmobiles for the U.S. Forest Service (USDA), on behalf of the Sanpete Ranger District in Ephraim, Utah. This requirement is for snowmobiles that will be used by the timber crew employees to collet reconnaissance and inspect timber sales in remote snow covered areas. The snowmobiles are essential for the timber crews to do their jobs and get to/from their destinations safely during the harsh Utah winter months. The evaluation of quotes will be based on the Lowest-Priced, Technically Acceptable (LPTA) approach. It is the quoter’s responsibility to prove that the equipment it is quoting meets the requested specifications. This solicitation is a 100% Total Small Business set-aside. The NAICS code is 336991. The PSC Code is 2340 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. Synopsis: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2022-08, effective October 28, 2022. Contract Type: The Government intends to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to the responsible quoter whose quote is evaluated as the lowest-priced technically acceptable. The total price shall include all labor, equipment, delivery charges, materials, overhead, profit, insurance, warranty and all other expenses necessary to deliver the required supplies. No additional sums will be payable on account of any escalations in the cost of materials, equipment, or labor, or because of the Contractor’s failure to properly estimate or accurately predict the cost or difficulty of achieving the results required by this contract.
