This announcement constitutes a Solicitation for construction, in accordance with FAR Subpart 13; no previous synopsis was posted subject to 13.105(a) with reference to the exception found at FAR 5.202(13). The U.S. Forest Service plans to solicit offers for a single award, firm-fixed price (FFP) contract type with an estimated magnitude between $100,000 and $250,000 for the base and all options. The Government anticipates to award sole contract for pit development, crushing up to 11,500 CY (Cubic Yards) of Spec Aggregate and placing it in stockpiles within the or near the pit location. Prospective offerors are required to submit quotes in accordance with the forthcoming solicitation. Scope of Work: This project consists of pit development, crushing up to 11,500 CY (Cubic Yards) of Spec Aggregate and placing it in stockpiles within the or near the pit location. Material will be taken in even layers across entire areas within the pit boundary as marked on ground by the Forest Service. The work shall be in accordance with the FP-14 “Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects”. Aggregate will conform to Table 703-3 of FSSS Section 314. The intent of the contract is to provide for the complete construction of the project described in the contract. Unless otherwise provided, the contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in reasonably close conformity with the drawings and specifications, and in accordance with the provisions of the contract. Payment for contract work will be made only for and under those pay items included in the Schedule of Items. All other work and materials will be considered as incidental to and included in the payment for the items shown in the Schedule. Base Option is for the crushing of an additional 5,500 CY Option 1 is for the crushing of up to an additional 1,000 CY Option 2 is for the crushing of up to an additional 2000 CY Option 3 is for the crushing of up to an additional 3,000 CY Location(s): Project is located approximately 17 miles northwest of Orangeville, Utah. You can access the Reeder View Pit from Orangeville by traveling west on Highway 29 up Straight Canyon to the intersection with Forest road 50014 Miller Flat Rd, then North approximately 0.7 miles on 50014 Miller Flat Rd to the pit.
