Installed Self-adhering white sealant coating system applied over spray foam (2,380 SF) Background: The Parks Ranger District shop roof is made of tar and gravel and has almost no pitch. The tar is cracking in several locations, and there is active leaking in the southeast corner of the shop. The leaking roof will continue to cause structural damage to the building and produce mold. Both of these hazards could cause an unsafe working environment and therefore must be addressed immediately. Purpose: The 2,280sf roof has cracked in several locations. The roof needs to be repaired. The tar is cracking in several locations, and there is active leaking in the southeast corner of the shop (which has started to produce mold). To repair this number of cracks in the roof, requires a reseal. The 2,280sf roof needs to be resealed. At the end of the repair and reseal, the 2,280-sf roof must be watertight/weathertight. The sealing material must be approved by the Contracting Officer. The sealing materials must be selected to withstand the high-altitude environment of northern Colorado.
