The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (FS), Intermountain Zone, Uinta-Wasatch Cache National Forest, Heber Ranger District has a need for Stand Exams, the Contractor shall furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals to acquire stand exam data on 500 plots of base item and 250 plots of optional items. Stand exams will involve fixed and variable radius plots to collect understory and overstory tree, fuels, and vegetation data. Selected stands for sampling will be within 0.25 miles of a road, except as stated and have 10 plots per stand. Once the contract is awarded, the Contractor will have 365 days (possibly longer) to complete the work. Below is the schedule of items. The Contractor will be paid for plots completed. Amendment 001 - The purpose of this amendment is to provide .shp files of the stand boundaries and plot locations and Google Earth file for stand boundaries.
