The Boise National Forest is soliciting quotes for the replacement of the Turbo/ def heater/Fuel System of fleet vehicle EN5287 Boise Hot Shot Sup truck, 2015 Ford F550 XL, Vin# 1FD0W5HT9FEB16265 and License Plate: A373466. Work required is replacing Turbo, Def heater, and Fuel System and it also includes the diagnoses. The vehicle was in the shop on and off throughout the 2023 season to repair/replace taillight and headlight wiring, vehicle would not perform regen and was losing power while driving, replaced filer and sensor, Fan clutch, CAC hose replaced and would again lose power when driving truck would go from 65 mph to 25 mph on freeway. And other diagnostic or repair items that are found up on closer inspection. The government has the vehicle currently located at the Boise National Forest Warehouse, 1918 Commerce Ave, Boise, Idaho 83705. The awarded business will transport and accept the truck at the repair facility, inspect and order necessary parts for the repair no later than five (5) business days after award of contract. The awarded contractor shall complete vehicle repairs, test the vehicle, and deliver to storage no later than thirty (30) calendar days after contract award.
