The Sawtooth National Forest is soliciting quotes for all required equipment, labor and materials necessary for the aerial transport and placement of eight (8) Government furnished, treated timber longitudinal slab members from the staging area at the Third Fork Rock Creek campground parking lot to two new bridge site locations and the setting of the longitudinal slabs in their permanent position on new wood sill members. Included in the quote will be an optional item for the aerial transport of all remaining treated timber trail bridge materials (running planks, backing planks, backing plank stiffeners, curb rails, curb blocks) and stage/stockpile the bridge components in close proximity to both bridge sites at previously approved locations. Interested businesses will provide quotes for the base item as well as the optional item to be considered a responsive quote. The period of performance for completion of the project is tentatively set for 8/28/2022- 9/10/2022 or 9/25/2022 – 10/08/2022, although modification of these dates may be arranged at the time of contract award to accommodate contractor scheduling another logistical concerns. Contractor site visits are permitted to inform the quoting process.
