Please review the changes in the attached amended solicitation. This contract is for purchase of a seed mix composed of native seed and a sterile cereal seed. The single base item is for 420 acres worth of the seed mix. This contract is for purchase of a seed mix composed of native seed and a sterile cereal seed. The single base item is for 420 acres worth of the seed mix. Desired proportions of each type of seed based on PLS is shown in the far right column of Table One. Total weight amount of each species desired for the base and option items is shown in Table Two. We recognize that not all species may be available, and acceptable substitutions and weights are listed in Table Three. If a vendor wants to make a substitution that is not listed, the vendor may consult with the Salmon-Challis National Forest (SCNF) to determine if that substitution is acceptable. No substitutions will be accepted for bottlebrush squirreltail. If more than one cultivar or source is available, the more drought resistant cultivar and closest source to Salmon, Idaho in location and elevation (~3,500ft) are desired. Quotes should be made on each species for the quantity in pounds listed in Table Two (or Table Three for substitutions). All seed must be weed free and have clearly documented proof that the seed does not include any Federal, States of Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Utah, or Lemhi County listed noxious weeds. All impurities in the seed must be disclosed. Seed must also have source identification, purity analysis, and germination analysis. While source certified is preferred when applicable, uncertified seed with a disclosed source location is acceptable. All Documentation must be included with the quote to be considered responsive. The seed should be delivered mixed and in bags no larger than 50-pounds so that they can be moved by hand. Delivery should take place no later than November 30th, 2021, or sooner, to Salmon, Idaho unless another mutually agreeable date is arranged with the COR. The Salmon-Challis National Forest reserves the right to purchase seed from more than one vendor. The Salmon-Challis also reserves the right to adjust the seed mix based on quoted costs for each species, including using a combination of offered substitutes or requesting additional quantities of species already in the mix. Adjustments will be made in cooperation with the vendor. (Tables are provided in the attached solicitation.)
