The Medicine Bow Routt National Forest and Thunder Basin National Grasslands contemplates award of Multiple Firm Fixed Price - Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IDIQ) for Prairie Dog Plague Management. The requirement will support the black-tailed prairie dog and the habitat it provides for associated species such as mountain plover, burrowing owl, and swift fox in Wyoming. The primary location where the services will be conducted are in the 3.67 (Short-Stature Vegetation) Management Area or on the Douglas Ranger District. Future treatments may occur under this contract on the rest of the grasslands if warranted by the conditions on the ground. The primary method of plague mitigation in use is the applications of dust insecticides to prairie dog colonies. Dusting machines are used to apply the dust insecticide to the colonies. A secondary method that will be covered under this contract is the application of a grain bait to prairie dog colonies which is consumed by the prairie dogs and contains an insecticide (fipronil). The IDIQ contract will run from 2021 – 2025 (Base year plus 4 Option years). The North American Industry Classification Service code is 561710 and is 100% set-aside for small business with a size standard of $12.0 million. Task Orders to start on June 2021 will be awarded concurrently with the IDIQ contract. Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (www.betasam.gov). For those who fail to meet these requirements will not be considered for award. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for bid/proposal preparation costs.
