Implementation of Optional Loop trail will depend on funding prior to commencement of work. Work generally includes clearing and new trail construction, construction of switchbacks and rock walls, restoration of existing trail tread, culvert installation, obliteration or repair of eroding trail, installation of drainage structures, post and sign installation, and other miscellaneous trail work. Sections of surface rock may need blasting or hammering. Unclassified excavation incidental to 912(01). The project is located within sections 2, 11, 13, & 14 of T3N, R10E. The project is located within the Crazy Mountain range northeast of Bozeman, MT. From Bozeman, follow Interstate I90 east for 25 miles to Livingston. Continue east on I90 for 14 miles to Us Highway 89 N. Take the Mission Field Airport exit and follow Highway 89 north for 21 miles to Clyde Park. ½ mile north of Clyde Park, turn right or east on Cottonwood Bench Road and follow for approximately 15 miles to the Ibex Cabin and trailhead. Project begins on trail 267 going north from the Ibex trailhead. Magnitude of Construction Project (per FAR 36.204(b)) - Between $25,000 and $100,000.
