Work requirements are provided in Attachment 001 - Peformance Work Statement. Amendment 001 reduces the quantity from 6 pit toilets down to 5 pit toilets. See amendment for additional changes and revised Schedule of Items. Amendment 002 is issued. This amendment provides revised/detailed directions to access 3 of the 5 pit toilets to be decommissioned. The response date to the solicitation is extended to Sunday, September 22, 2024, 10:30 PM, Pacific Time. The 2024 Fiscal Year ends this month. It’s anticipated an award will be made and announced shortly after the revised solicitation closing date. No further questions will be taken after the posting of this amendment. If you want to submit a revised quote for any reason, complete and return page 2 of Amendment 001. Please write “Revised Quote” on the revised quote. Revised quotes will be accepted.

WORK LOCATION: WILLAMETTE NATIONAL FOREST DETROIT, McKENZIE RIVER AND MIDDLE FORK RANGER DISTRICTS This is a demolition project. The work of this Contract is to decommission/remove 6 existing pit toilets, which are located at different sites across the forest. Pit toilets are simple wooden structures (see attached typical photo) and shall be removed entirely including any footing/leveling blocks, and pit backfilled with surrounding soil restored to natural state. All toilet building structures, attached fixtures shall be salvaged/recycled or disposed to contractor (contractor owned and responsible) and shall be removed off USFS property. Any salvage value shall be considered and credited in project bid. Project work can be done with hand tools and 4x4 pickup trucks/ATV type vehicles. Some roads can require high clearance vehicles. No utility work, or earthwork (other than minor pit backfilling and leveling) is expected for this project. The complete soliciation should be posted on, or about September 9, 2024.
