We are not looking to add new contractors to the BPA at this time. This is a competitive request under a previously issued R10 Road Construction & Maintenance Blanket Purchase Agreement. The Sitka Ranger District of the Tongass National Forest intends on awarding (1) contract for the rehabilitation of the inlet channel to the lower ponds and work on stream crossings on open and decommissioned roads located within the Appleton Creek and Hell Creek Watersheds on northern Baranof Island. This project includes surveying, clearing, excavation, providing erosion and sediment control devices, installing stream simulation rocks, reconstructing of the existing inlet channel including excavation of a new connection to the main channel, placement of boulders, moving and stockpiling of whole trees, some with rootwads attached, placement of log structures, removal of existing crossing structures, widening crossings, excavation of road prisms and site cleanup.
