Major work under the based bid include but is not limited to; demolition of the Tanis Mesa Cabin, a 60’ long A-Frame, constructing one single story 15’x17’ log cabin and associated site work, as well as, constructing the associated deck, ramp, stairs, heating system, and foundation. All other existing structures at Tanis Mesa to remain Location and Facilities: The project site for Base Bid work is located at Tanis Mesa (59°14'49.56"N, 138°30'11.22"W). This site is approximately 45 miles SE of Yakutat, AK. Access to the Base Bid project site is via helicopter or bush plane; airstrip at cabin site. There are no utilities at any project site. Cell phone service is not available at Tanis Mesa Yakutat is the nearest community and is accessible by scheduled jet service, barge, and the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to award without discussions, however, reserves the right to conduct discussions should it be deemed in the Government’s best interest. One Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract will be awarded. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000 Note: Per FAR 52.204-7(b)(1), System for Award Management (SAM), an Offeror is required to be registered in SAM when submitting an offer and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment for any contract resulting from this solicitation. Information on registration may be obtained via: https://www.sam.gov. All Offerors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications in the SAM system.
