The project at Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center (MGVC) includes the following work: Demolition and removal of existing roof assembly down to the structural deck, Installation of temporary roofing system, Installation of Polyvinyl-Chloride (PVC) Membrane roof assembly, including substrate boards, vapor retarder, walkways, roof insulation and accessories, Parapet Work: Build up a step in a section of parapet on the observatory roof, new parapet cap flashing and spray foam insulation in parapets, Install an additional roof drain with associated plumbing to tie into the existing system as drawn and any Miscellaneous other work as defined. One option item will also be included in the solicitation: Roof Ice Melt System: This work includes installation of an ice melt system at all roof drains and overflows and all associated electrical work. Contractors are asked to submit only the "Quoters Package" when submitting pricing.
