This proposed solicitation includes all labor, equipment and materials required to construct a new approximately 5,000 square foot Storage Building at the current Sisters Ranger District site in Sisters, Oregon. Work includes but is not limited to the following construction methods and descriptions. The building will be a single-story wood framed building, spread footing foundation with a concrete slab on grade. External building materials will include an asphalt shingle roof and a combination of fiber cement lap and concrete masonry veneer siding. The basis of heating and cooling will be a combination of electric wall heaters, electric radiant heaters and a ductless split system for the IT room. Site work will include some clearing, demolition of existing structures, relocation of existing storage containers, demolition of existing utilities, excavation/embankment work, new underground utility construction including sanitary sewer, water, power/phone/cable, storm water improvements, parking lot construction including gravel surfacing. This contract also requires that the Contractor perform construction practices and reporting that help obtain a Green Building certification. The project is located on the Deschutes National Forest, Sisters Ranger District, Deschutes County, Oregon. The Government’s estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Both a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value will be required after contract award. Contract performance shall be complete by 1 November 2023 and estimated start work date is 29 August 2022. A pre-proposal conference for this project will be held. It is tentatively scheduled for 1 June 2022 at 10:00am at the Sisters Ranger District. Please check the solicitation document when it is uploaded to confirm the finalized meeting details.
