This proposed solicitation includes all labor and materials required to replace the existing damaged fire sprinkler system piping, and to add new piping to the front area of the main Admin Building at USFS Detroit Ranger District compound located on the Willamette National Forest. This project will consist of demolishing the existing damaged sprinkler piping on the rear (North) of the main Admin building and replacing it with new galvanized schedule 40 piping, threaded fittings, pipe hangers, and Drum drip assemblies. It also consists of providing plans/drawings for adding new piping and necessary components to the front (South) of the building that is not currently protected. New galvanized schedule 40 piping, threaded fittings, pipe hangers, and Drum drip assemblies will be installed and connected to the existing fire sprinkler system and air tested upon completion. The contractor must provide the necessary plans, details and/or calculations, and fees for permits required by Marion County Building Inspection Division (5155 Silverton Road NE, Salem, OR 97305). Contractor shall provide a copy to the Contracting Officer of the final permit inspection and/or a certification letter that the fire sprinkler system is fully operational with the expanded/added sprinkler heads. Contractor is required to be an Oregon licensed CCB plumbing/sprinkler contractor. The project is located on the Willamette National Forest, Detroit Ranger District, Marion County, Oregon. The Government’s estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contract performance shall be complete within 30 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed, and estimated start work date is 23 May 2022. This project is set-aside for small businesses. The small business size standard is $16.5 million average annual receipts. 100% Payment Bond will be required for all contract awards over $35,000. Solicitation will be available for download from sam.gov on or about 4/29/22. NOTE: prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base when submitting an offer, and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment of a contract resulting from this solicitation. Information on registration may be obtained via the internet at: http://www.sam.gov. All contractors and vendors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications in the SAM system. If at the time of receipt of offers, an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Offeror will not be considered for award.
