NO PROPOSALS WERE RECEIVED AND NO AWARD WAS MADE THROUGH THIS COMPETITIVE PROCESS. 07/13/2021 SOLICITATION POSTED ON 05/18/2021 The USDA Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the following: This contract consists of repair work to an existing fire system located at the Johnston Ridge Observatory (JRO). Specifically, work will of the following: Replacement of all dry pipe sprinkler piping, mains, branch lines and sprinkler heads in a few sections of the building. Replacement of all existing dry pendent sprinkler heads with new dry pendent sprinklers. Installation of access panels, where needed, for all dry pendent sprinkler heads. Installation of a nitrogen generator to the dry pipe fire system. The work is expected to begin October 4, 2021, when both inside and outside visitation is reduced due to weather. The project site locations are at JRO and access to the site is described below: From Castle Rock, WA, travel eastbound on State Route 504 for approximately 49.0 miles, to the end of the road system. At the end of the road system is where JRO is located. The Government’s estimated magnitude of this project (Base and Optional Items) is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will be available for download exclusively via https://beta.sam.gov on or about 05/17/2021. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. NOTE: prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base when submitting an offer, and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment of a contract resulting from this solicitation. Information on registration may be obtained via the internet at: http://www.sam.gov. All contractors and vendors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications in the SAM system. If at the time of receipt of offers, an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror.
