This is a request for information (RFI) for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 15.201. This announcement is a request for information and to notify the public of an upcoming U.S. Forest Service, R10 Alaska, Chugach and Tongass Forests, Alaska requirement; NO OFFERS ARE BEING REQUESTED OR WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. This RFI incorporates current government commercial services procedures in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-03 effective January 1, 2022. The current NAICS the government is considering is NAICS Code 115310 with a size standard of $8M. The government is seeking feedback from industry on the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) for Thinning Services. This feedback is to assist the government in aligning the language and tasks outlined to industry/commercial standards. Currently the government anticipates having the below listed work/quantities per forests. These quantities include the totals of all tasks listed in the PWS. Chugach National Forest: approximately 1,000 acres per year for up to 5 years. Tongass National Forest: approximately 7,000 acres per year for up to 5 years.
