Background and Purpose: This is a non-personal services contract to reconstruct the Cathedral Falls Trail. Major service items include trail pioneering and clearing, trail surface demolition and rehabilitation, aggregate surface installation and improvements, and installation of concrete steps, retaining logs, and signs on the Petersburg Ranger District, Tongass National Forest. Project Location: The project site is located on Kupreanof Island, approximately 12 road miles southeast of downtown Kake, Alaska, at the terminus of Forest Road #6312 at approximately 56° 54' 06.6" N, 133° 43' 48" W. Kake is accessible by scheduled small airline service, boat, barge, and the Alaska Marine Highway system. See attachments for requirements.
