The Ketchikan Misty Fjords Ranger District of the Tongass National Forest intends on awarding (1) contract for the rehabilitation of approximately a ½ mile of stream corridor and the adjoining floodplain on Margaret Creek. This project involves hauling whole trees including rootwads to designated staging areas, clearing of vegetation/alders on designated access routes, placement of log structures to restore fish habitat, rehabilitate roads and site cleanup. The Contractor will be required to utilize equipment of a certain size and type in order to gain access and to minimize excessive soil disturbance.
