Units to be treat... The purpose of this solicitation is to secure services for non-commercial thinning, lopping or hand piling on 2,016 acres. This is a BPA Call against the Malheur Fuels Reduction BPA. Units to be treated are located within the Magone Project Area, Blue Mountain Ranger District of the Malheur National Forest. Maps are attached in the requisition package. Forty-two units totaling 2,016 acres are to be treated. Units are flagged with orange flagging and orange tags. This project will increase forest health and vigor and reduce hazardous fuels to reduce the threat of catastrophic wildfire within the Wildland Urban Interface by accomplishing the following: 1. Reducing fuel loading by thinning in non-commercial units. 2. Reducing Juniper and Conifers in scablands
