(c) This statement of objectives is issued for the purpose of gathering information to determine the feasibility of: Project Title Gifford Pinchot NF Headquarters Janitorial Services 1.0 Purpose The purpose of this requirement is to secure janitorial services for the Gifford Pinchot NF Headquarters’ Office(s) in Vancouver, Washington. The Contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, equipment and supplies not listed as Government-furnished items below necessary to perform services under the janitorial contract. All designated areas must present a clean, healthful, and well-kept appearance. The work will consist of cleaning floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning furnishings/furniture as noted in this Statement of Objectives. The purpose of this announcement is to conduct market research of interested contractors. Product Service Code: S201 - HOUSEKEEPING- CUSTODIAL JANITORIAL NAICS Code: 561720 - Janitorial Services 2.0 Scope or Mission For the janitorial service provider to perform duties on regularly scheduled basis that ensure a clean and sanitary working environment and building conditions of both locations for the Gifford Pinchot NF Headquarters, and stock the necessary supplies to ensure the health and safety of employees through continued cleanliness and availability of washing and paper supplies within the common use areas of both buildings. 3.0 Period and Place of Performance Period of Service BASE PLUS FOUR YEARS To provide cleaning, supplies and janitorial equipment and building upkeep as it relates to janitorial tasks for the buildings of: 987 McClellan Rd Vancouver, WA 98661 501 E 5th Street #404 Vancouver, WA 98661 4.0 Background Gifford Pinchot National Forest Headquarters (GPNFH) facilities are located at 987 McClellan Road and 501 E 5th Street, Building 404, Vancouver, WA. The facilities provide office space and a communications center and maintenance area that supports forest operations throughout Oregon and Washington. The facilities include two buildings, 404 and 987. Included in the facilities are offices for approximately 98 people, 9 bathrooms of various sizes, a large radio maintenance bay, multiple closets, high density storage areas, an elevator, a community wellness and workout room, a large community area, 3 break rooms, 2 showers, 1 large conference room, 4 regular conference rooms, and 4 small community dens. GPNFH employee population and building use varies on a seasonal basis. During winter months, typically beginning around the middle of November and lasting until the middle of March, field personnel return to the facilities. During common summer fire seasons some conference rooms may become workspaces for fire personnel and the number of personnel in dispatch (Bldg 404) may increase. Building 987 is approximately 29,683 SF, and Building 404 is approximately 5,239 SF.
