This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. The Solicitation number is 1240BD22Q0135 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06. This procurement is set aside 100% for small business. Questions must be submitted to mindy.hickman@usda.gov no later than 12pm July 17th Description of Requirement The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Wenatchee Ranger District has a need for routine standalone farrier services for an estimated 15 head of stock (horses/mules) for a performance period of August 1st though July 31st 2023 The farrier’s primary occupation or service shall be shoeing of livestock. The farrier shall be a specialist in the stand and shoeing and livestock hoof care, including the trimming and balancing of horses and mule’s hooves. Period Of Performance The Period of performance will be for one year from the date of award with (4) one year options and your quote should cover pricing for each year. August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023 for the Base year August 1, 2023 – July 31, 2024 for Option year 1 August 1, 2024 – July 31, 2025 for Option year 2 August 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026 for Option year 3 August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027 for Option year 4 Anticipated Service dates can be found in the performance requirements attached. Service Locations The stock resides in two locations. Within the Wenatchee River Ranger District and in Carlton Washington. The contractor will be expected to provide services at either location dependent upon where the stock is located at the time services are to be provided. The contractor will be notified of the service location at the time of scheduling.
