This Firm Fixed Price, Performance Based contract requires mechanical piling of new or old slash, (woody debris on the ground), to accomplish fuels reduction on the Tonasket Ranger District, Colville National Forest. Areas will be treated by machine piling of slash, as described in this Performance Based Statement of Work and Detailed Unit Information Sheet. The expected result of the contract is to prepare slash for removal by burning in piles and to provide adequate site preperation for reforestation activities related to commercial treatments. Contractor shall supply all materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and labor for machine slash piling services. Units will be located in Okanogan County in Washington State. Services are to be performed during the period of approximately First of June, 2022 to Mid August, 2022. Offerer is strongly encouraged to inspect the site where services are to be performed to determine general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance. The Contractor must, considering the given resource objectives, develop a plan of operation to accomplish these objectives and organize and direct all the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The Contractor must furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals except those items, if any, listed as Government-Furnished property, necessary to complete the work requirements. There is a total of approximately 295 acres of piling work to be completed. Prices will be quoted by the acre and lump sum for mobilization / demobilization. The Contractor will be paid for actual work ordered, performed and accepted by the Government. Award will be made to the quote which is determined to be the best value to the Government. The project is a 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 115310 and size standard is $20.5 million.
