The Procurement and Property Services, National Stewardship Branch has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete the IRSC requirement. The work includes but is not limited to: work consists of conducting fuels reduction activities to include but not limited to Pre-commercial Thinning, Commercial Timber Harvest, Processing/Decking, Road Maintenance, Erosion Control, and Slash Treatments. FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures is being utilized for this requirement. Pre-solicitation Notice IRSC This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project (IRSC) in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003 to reflect sec. 323 of J.J. Res. 2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, sec. 347. The contract includes the following components: approximately 176 acres of IRSC service work as outlined in the solicitation, 1488 CCF whole tree sawlog removal and 52 CCF non-saw removal, road maintenance.
