The Eagle Creek Spring is located in the burn scar of the Eagle Creek Fire of 2017. Sections of the sanitary spring liner were damaged in the fire. The spring area is approximately 37’ wide x 39’ Long. It is on a 40-degree slope. This Scope of Work encompasses the repair of the Eagle Creek Spring Development. It includes replacing a burned liner, including sand bedding and filter fabric, adding a range fence around the spring, and repainting the metal components in the spring box with NSF 61 certified paint. The work will address health and safety deficiencies discovered after the fire. Benefits of reconstruction will increase flexibility and serviceability of the Eagle Springs Water System and minimize overall O&M costs. Due to the site’s unique location, efforts to minimize environmental and social impacts during construction should be of high importance. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, and personnel to provide the described tasks. This project is located at Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The Eagle Creek Recreation Area is located at NE Eagle Creek Loop, Cascade Locks, OR 97014. The spring is located 0.5 miles up a steep trail off of trail #400. Coordinates are Lat: 45.6372 Long: -121.9219. From Portland, OR: Travel east on Interstate 84 to exit #41 which is just past the interstate tunnel...get in the right lane before entering the tunnel. Take a right at the end of the off ramp and follow the signs to the picnic area and trailhead. The bridge across Eagle Creek has a weight limit of 10,000 lbs. for one piece of equipment at a time This project is 100% set aside for Small Business.
