BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK This contract involves providing labor and the supply of materials, as needed, to the Forest Service (FS) to accomplish work related to bat mitigation repairs at a FS owned facility, called the Pine Creek Information Station. It is currently anticipated that the contractor will accomplish the following tasks: 1) Accomplish bio-hard removal; 2) Accomplish repairs memo; and 3) Accomplish repairs due to bio-hazard removal. BACKGROUND Viking Engineering accomplished the following work in the late fall/winter of 2020: 1) Bat mitigation at the Pine Creek Information Station; 2) Accomplish repairs/sealant of access holes at the Pine Creek Information Station; and 3) Provide a memo to the FS summarizing the extent of the bio-hazards, the removal process, with cost associated with the removal needs. The Forest Service has now secured the funds necessary to accomplish a logical follow-on contract, per Viking Engineering + Construction LLC's repair recommendations. The project site is located on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, within the Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, at the Pine Creek Information Station. The Pine Creek Information Station is located is located at approximately MP 14.5 on the USFS 90 RD; this is approximately 18 miles east of Cougar, WA. Viking Engineering had provided the FS with costs associated with the line items in this contract; however, these line items were initiated via Eric Wilsey, CO, PO No. 1205K320P0029 in FY20. Viking Engineering will honor the line item pricing for this contract. Viking Engineering’s past quoted prices are included in the Schedule of Items (note they are listed as optional items per the last contract that was accomplished in 2020).
