AMENDMENT 01-Is being issued to add the documents that were reffered to in Section 3.0 (a) of the Statement of Work. This is a Request for Proposal for construction services. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Plant Science Lab located in Raleigh, NC., has a requirement (subject to the availability of funds) to install a new roof for Building 11 as per Statement of Work (SoW), at the ARS National Plant Science Facility located at 3127 Ligon Street, Raleigh, NC 27607. The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, professional services, and supervision necessary to install a new roof for Building 11. The contractor shall provide a detailed technical proposal and cost breakdown for the entire project. The solicitation number is 12405B24R0012 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting a proposal. You can register on- line at www.sam.gov. If you are already registered and your registration has expired, you will need to go the SAM website and update your information. Please refer to Section L.7 (b) of the attached Clauses and Provisions for site visit information.

Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about June 05, 2024. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
