No award will be made from the pre-solicitation notice, nor will any proposals, quotes, or bids be accepted from this notice. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Please do not email requesting additional information until after the posting of the solicitation notice. General Information The solicitation is anticipated to be issued in or around August 1, 2024. The contract is anticipated to be awarded in September 2024. All dates are tentative and for planning purposes only. The resulting contract shall be a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The solicitation shall be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ). To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/. Project Information PROJECT TITLE: Repave Road and Parking Lot PROJECT LOCATION: Dawson, GA NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM CODE: (NAICS): 237310 SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: $45M The anticipated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service area office in Dawson, GA has a requirement for repaving existing road and parking lot. General Scope (further details will be made available with the RFQ)- The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control to repair and resurface parking areas with an option to repair and resurface the roadway area around the site buildings. The contractor shall apply tack coat, pave drive with .5” of OGI crack inhibiting leveling coarse and top with 1.5” of 9.5mm surface coarse. The existing areas to be paved consist of 5,367 square yards. All areas must be cleaned and all cracks and needed surface preparation completed prior to paving. Manhole rings and or valve boxes must be adjusted as needed to ensure that it is flushed with the newly paved road surface. The newly resurfaced parking areas must be re-striped; the line thickness, spacing, color and other dimensions must be same as the ones in the facility.
