PRESOLICITATION/NOTICE OF INTENT: The intent of this Pre-solicitation Notice is for informational purposes only. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Raleigh, NC location intends to award a sole source contract to SPT Labtech for a 12 Month Service Contract for SPT Labtech Mosquito Pipettor and Dragonfly Discovery 6 head Instruments per attached Statement of Work. The proposed contract will be awarded using Sole Source Justification (SSJ) FAR Parts (below SAT): The synopsis does NOT constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ) nor does it restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice, nor will it reimburse firms for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. However, all responsible sources, meeting the requirements which, if received within 5 calendar days of publication of this notice shall be considered by the Government. All responses must be submitted to the Government primary point of contact at the contracting office email shown below. If no written responses are received after the publication of this notice the contract will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is NOT a solicitation, nor is it an announcement for a forthcoming solicitation. Submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in providing a response. The USDA has a requirement for _12 Month Service Contract for SPT Labtech Mosquito Pipettor and Dragonfly Discovery 6 head Instruments _in accordance with the attached SOW. Responses to this notification will help to determine the acquisition strategy for any future solicitation. Submission Instructions: Interested vendors are invited to submit a response to this sources sought notification by 3PM CST_ on _1/22/24_, to the attention of _Melissa Santos_, Contract Specialist, melissa.santos@usda.gov. All questions are asked to be submitted in writing to the Primary Point of Contact and will be addressed accordingly. Responses should be no more than 10 pages and include the following information: Organization Name; Contract Name, e-mail address and phone number; Organizations UEI number; Business size status for the applicable NAICS code; A statement of interest in any forthcoming acquisition. A statement of capability to perform details of the requirement. Interested vendors are instructed to provide only the data requested. No proprietary classified confidential or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any nonproprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s). Any additional information will not be reviewed by the USDA. Responses to this notice must be in writing . Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
