This is a pre-solicitation notice and not a request for quote, proposal, or invitation for bid, and as such, any additional information as to the size and/or scope of the project will not be available until the issuance of the RFQ. No award will be made from the pre-solicitation notice, nor will any proposals, quotes, or bids be accepted from this notice. Any submittal will only be accepted after the posting of the solicitation notice. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Please do not email requesting additional information until after the posting of the solicitation notice. General Information The solicitation is anticipated to be issued in or around 25 May 2023. The contract is anticipated to be awarded in July 2023. All dates are tentative and for planning purposes only. The resulting contract shall be a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The solicitation shall be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ). To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/. Project Information PROJECT TITLE: Demolish Greenhouse 16 PROJECT LOCATION: Oxford, MS NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM CODE: (NAICS): 238910 SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: $19M The anticipated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service National Sedimentation Laboratory in Oxford, MS has a requirement for demolition of an existing greenhouse. General Scope (further details will be made available with the RFQ)- The contractor shall demolish and dispose of existing Greenhouse 16 in its entirety. The greenhouse is approximately 650 SF, built in 1984 and consists of metal supported glass walls and roof with concrete block knee walls and concrete wall foundations. The Greenhouse has a dirt floor with a concrete walkway running through the middle. Demolition shall include removing the building, concrete foundations, walkway, water supply, and electrical service back to the panel and all appurtenances related or connected thereto. Removed utilities shall be terminated in a manner conforming to the nationally recognized code covering the specific utility. After demolition, holes shall be filled and disturbed areas shall be leveled with friable topsoil which shall be placed and spread to the height of the surrounding area and seeded with grass seed mixture to match surrounding vegetation and covered using a straw mulch to prevent erosion until growth and coverage is achieved.
