Notice of Intent: The USDA, ARS, SEA intends to award a sole source to The MathWorks Inc., 3 Apple Hill Drive, Natick, MA 01760. The MathWorks Inc. is the only source for this commercial item pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(l) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Only one Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency’s Requirements. The award will be to purchase the following product/services: The USDA ARS SEA will award a contract to purchase a software package to provide the integration of functions and algorithms to best conduct process and optimization, process controller and implementation based on optimized process models. Delivery Address: USDA/ARS 150 Twelve Lane Mississippi State, MS 39762 The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract on or about December 8, 2022. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to tracey.dawley@usda.gov. No faxed documents will be accepted. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
