This is a pre-solicitation notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Plant Science Facility located in Raleigh, NC., has a requirement to Remove floor tile, abate asbestos mastic, and replace with new tile and cove base in Labs 5 , including adjoining office, at the USDA, ARS, Plant Science Facility, 3127 Ligon Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, 27607. The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work in strict accordance with these Statement of Work/Specifications to remove all existing flooring (approximately 500 square feet) in areas indicated in SOW, abate all asbestos tiles and mastic associated with the removed flooring and install a new floor system to match type in hallway and other finished areas. New vinyl cove base will be installed in all areas where floor replacement is performed. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract, subject to the availability of funds. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about August 04, 2022. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
